Russian Black Sea Fleet Ship Damaged in Ukrainian Drone Attack
Ukraine’s military intelligence said it struck a Russian Black Sea Fleet salvage ship near Novorossiysk on Wednesday.
In a statement, the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) said that at the time of the strike, the Project MPSV07-class salvage ship was patrolling near Novorossiysk Bay, where Russia has relocated much of its Black Sea Fleet following earlier Ukrainian strikes on Sevastopol.
“The GUR operatives delivered a precise strike using a Ukrainian-made combat drone targeting the ship’s bridge, where its navigation and communications equipment are located,” GUR said. “As a result of the strike, the ship’s electronic warfare systems were destroyed, and the vessel was put out of action for costly repairs.”

The MPSV07, introduced in 2015 and valued at approximately $60 million, is one of four in Russia’s fleet.
Designed for underwater support and electronic monitoring, the vessel carries diving systems, remotely operated vehicles, side-scan sonar, and reconnaissance gear.
A day earlier, GUR reported strikes on two Russian radar stations in occupied Crimea, hitting a 48Ya6-K1 Podlet low-altitude radar and an RLM-M module of the 55Zh6M Nebo-M air defense system.
