The super Lightweight Plate Carrier (LOPC) from Chase Tactical
Our Lightweight Operational Plate Carrier (LOPC) is a lightweight plate carrier that works with any set of hard armor plates and soft armor backers. The LOPC has built in padded and fully adjustable shoulder straps.
The tops of the shoulder straps have both nylon webbing and elastic webbing for mounting and routing tourniquets, hydration tubes, radio antennas, handsets, comm wires, V Lites, and strobe lights.
The front of our Lightweight Operational Plate Carrier incorporates a large matching hook & loop area for placards and 2 vertical clips which will accept a variety of pre-configured weapon-specific pouch panels. The LOPC comes standard with a removable MOLLE clip placard held in place by 2 vertical clips.
Spacer mesh is used on the inside of the LOPC for increased breathability and comfort. The cummerbund is made of lightweight breathable mesh with MOLLE webbing on the exterior and interior. Strong drag handle that secures down and out of the way when not in use.

First plate carrier and I have been using it a month. I was hesitant with the elastic part of the cummerbund, and the stitching of the Molle and plate pocket. After a month of use (a field exercise, a competition, and some workouts) the elastic looks like it’s staring to lose some pull (due to using side plates), but the stitching has held up great so far. A detail that I recently noticed was the plate started to lower in the pocket because the plate (medium sized 9.5” x 12.5”) is shorter than intended for that pocket I guess. When I fixed it, peeling the velcro flap and then stuffing it into the pocket so the plate is at the uppermost part, the Velcro area inside the pocket does not go deep enough to fully secure the plate inside the pocket compared to a taller plate. It feels great other than that, not super bulky or cumbersome.

This plate carrier is amazing! As an Army veteran I appreciate the quality and thought that went into this carrier. It’s exactly what one would need for the everyday mission. Extremely well built and its definitely lightweight just like it says in the name. Im really skinny so my only problem is that I really had to tighten the straps a lot. The problem with that is that now there isn’t as much contact with the velcro now.

As the name implies, it’s a lightweight plate carrier, but it’s more than just that. It’s the LOPC from Chase Tactical. I’m familiar with their nylon products and the quality of this is no different. Light, durable, and the Multicam perfectly matches my other Chase products. I plan on putting it through the wringer while I use it for training. I’ll use it as a tool and more importantly, peace of mind.

This plate carrier is great, lightweight, breathable and comfortable. Ive had several different carriers, but this one i can wear all day and not be as fatigued. The mesh cummerbund is great for air flow but the lack of rigidity makes it flimsy when you have pouches mounted. Thats the only drawback i could find.
